Henry County – Drivers can expect reduced lanes and traffic delays during a City of Clinton project making sidewalk and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements at the intersection of Missouri route 7/13 and 2nd Street in Clinton beginning the week of August 10.
City of Clinton contractor crews will make improvements that include making curb ramps, landings, crosswalks and pavement markings conform to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The work is planned for three phases. These are the traffic impacts:
Phase 1:
- Northbound 2nd Street-to-southbound Missouri Route 7/13 free right turn lane CLOSED
- Northbound 2nd Street through lanes reduced to one (1) lane
Phase 2:
- Westbound Missouri Route 7/13-to-northbound Missouri Route 13 (2nd Street) free right turn lane CLOSED
- Northbound Missouri Route 7/13 through lane reduced to one (1) lane
Phase 3:
- Southbound Missouri Route 13 (2nd Street)-to-northbound Missouri Route 7 free right turn lane
- CLOSED
- Southbound Missouri Route 13 (2nd Street)-southbound Missouri Route 7/13 left turn reduced from two (2) lanes to one (1) lane
Overall Traffic Impacts:
- Drivers are urged to use caution and be aware of crews and equipment working close to traffic
- Closures and lane reductions will be in place around the clock during construction
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching work zones
- No signed detours
- Drivers should find alternate routes around work zones
