JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled several lane and ramp closures along both eastbound I-70 for pavement repairs. This work will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29 and will have impacts on overnight traffic. All work is weather permitting.
Wednesday, May 29
- Beginning at 7 p.m. until approximately 6 a.m., eastbound I-70 will have a double lane closure between Lee’s Summit Rd. and I-470/Route 291.
Thursday, May 30
- Beginning at 7 p.m. until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning, crews will have a double lane closure along eastbound I-70 from Blue Ridge Cutoff to Noland Rd.
- The following ramps will be CLOSED:
- The ramp from Blue Ridge Cutoff to eastbound I-70.
- The Eastbound I-70 ramp to Sterling Rd.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to U.S. Highway 40.
- The ramp from U.S. Highway 40 to eastbound I-70.
- The ramp from Blue Ridge Blvd. to eastbound I-70.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to Noland Rd.
Friday, May 31
- Beginning at 7 p.m. until approximately 8 a.m. the following morning, crews will have a double lane closure in place along eastbound I-70 from U.S. Highway 40 to Lee’s Summit Rd.
- The following ramps will be CLOSED:
- The ramp from eastbound I-70 to U.S. Highway 40.
- The U.S. Highway 40 ramp to eastbound I-70.
- The Blue Ridge Blvd. ramp to eastbound I-70.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to Noland Rd.
- The Noland Rd. ramp to eastbound I-70.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to Lee’s Summit Rd.
- The Lee’s Summit Rd. ramp to eastbound I-70.
Saturday, June 1
- Starting at 7 p.m. until approximately 8 a.m. the following morning, crews will have a double lane closure along eastbound I-70 from Lee’s Summit Rd. to just past the eastbound I-70 to northbound Route 291 ramp.
- The following ramps will be CLOSED:
- The ramp from eastbound I-70 to Lee’s Summit Rd.
- The Lee’s Summit Rd. ramp to eastbound I-70.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to northbound Route 291.
- The southbound Route 291 ramp to eastbound I-70.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to southbound Route 291
The closures are part of a paving project along I-70 between Blue Ridge Cutoff and Route 291 that began in April and is expected to be complete in July. This project will have significant impacts on overnight traffic.
