JACKSON COUNTY –MoDOT Kansas City will be continuing its construction work at the I-435 and I-70 interchange this week. This work includes ramp closures and a rolling slowdown along both directions of I-70 and I-435. This work will have impacts to traffic. Motorists are advised to plan ahead, leave early, or consider an alternate route. All work is weather permitting.
Daily Work Wednesday, May 29 through Friday, May 31
- The left lane of the exit ramp from northbound I-435 to Stadium Drive will be closed for bridge construction daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday, May 20, through Friday, May 24.
Overnight Work Wednesday, May 29 through Friday, May 31
- The right lane of westbound I-70 from Stadium Drive to I-435 will be closed OVERNIGHT for grading work from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following mornings starting Wednesday, May 29, until Friday, May 310
- The ramp from northbound I-435 to eastbound I-70 will be closed OVERNIGHT beginning Wednesday, May 29, until Friday, May 31 from 8 p.m. each evening to 5 a.m. the following mornings. This closure is to place base rock.
- There will be rolling slowdowns in all directions along both I-435 and I-70 place beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29. The slowdown should only last about five minutes.
