Bridge Deck Work Will CLOSE Bridges, Lanes, Ramps at Three Trails Crossing Overnight Starting June 4

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting bridge deck work near Three Trails Crossing (Grandview Triangle) interchange in Jackson County. This work will CLOSE several bridges, lanes, and ramps in the interchange overnight beginning on Tuesday, June 4 until Sunday, June 9, from 8 p.m. each evening until 7 a.m. the following mornings. This work will have impacts to overnight motorists. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and find alternate routes if necessary. Tuesday, June 4

  • Crews will CLOSE the ramp from southbound I-435 to westbound I-435.
    • To do this, it will also require the closure of the two left most lanes along southbound I-470 to the ramp.
  • Crews will also close the ramp from westbound I-470 to southbound I-49.
    • This will include the closure of the left lane of westbound I-470 leading to the ramp. All ramp traffic will continue to northbound I-435 or to northbound U.S. Highway 71.

Wednesday, June 5

  • Crews will close the ramp from westbound I-470 to northbound I-435.
    • There will be a single right lane closure along westbound I-470 in order to close this ramp.
  • There will be a double right lane closure along the ramp from northbound I-49 to northbound I-435.

Thursday, June 6

  • Crews will be closing the ramp to eastbound I-435 to both northbound I-435 and northbound U.S. Highway 71.
    • This will include a double left lane closure along eastbound I-435 to close the ramp.
  • Crews will close the two right most lanes of eastbound I-470 and eastbound I-435 connecting ramp to eastbound I-470.

Friday, June 7

  • Crews will close the ramp from westbound I-470 to westbound I-435.
    • Additionally, crews will need to close the two right most lanes along westbound I-470. All traffic will need to continue northbound on either I-435 or I-49.
  • Crews will also close the ramp from northbound I-49 to westbound I-435 and eastbound I-470.
    • This will include a double right lane closure along northbound I-49 to close the ramps.

Saturday, June 8

  • The ramp from southbound I-435 to southbound I-49 and eastbound I-470 will be
    • This will include the closure of the two right lanes along southbound I-435 leading up to the closed ramps.
    • The Southbound I-435 ramp to Highway W will remain open.
  • The ramp from southbound U.S. Highway 71 to eastbound I-470 will be CLOSED. All ramp traffic will have to continue onto westbound I-435.
  • The ramp from southbound I-435 to eastbound I-470 will be closed.
    • There will be a single right lane closure along the ramp from southbound I-435/eastbound I-435 to eastbound I-470 leading up to the ramp closure. All traffic will have to continue onto southbound I-49.
  • There will be a single left lane closure along eastbound I-470/I-435 connecting ramp to eastbound I-470.
