COLUMBIA, Mo – Columbia residents will see another week of free-flowing traffic on the Route AC (Grindstone Parkway) bridge over U.S. Route 63.
The bridge rehab project that would have closed Route AC on Monday, June 3 has been postponed due to predicted weather throughout the week. The road closure will now begin Monday, June 10 at 10:00 a.m.
Weather permitting, the rehabilitation work is still expected to be complete by the end of the summer. MoDOT says the patience of travelers while the work takes place is appreciated.
This work is part of a larger project to improve seven bridges in Boone and Callaway Counties along Route 63. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by next summer. MoDOT will be releasing more information ahead of work beginning at each location.
