Missouri River Bridge North of Boonville Closes Due to Flooding

BOONVILLE, Mo – Flooding along the Missouri River has led to the closure of a major crossing point that could have an ongoing impact on commuters.

The Missouri Department of Transportation has closed the Route 40 bridge over the Missouri River just north of Boonville. The road will remain closed until further notice. The bridge is the latest closure in the area as the Missouri River remains in the major flooding stage.

MoDOT reminds travelers to plan alternate routes around flooded areas and never drive through flooded roads.

Motorists can find all closed roads in the Central District and other flooding information at modot.org/central-district-flooding-information, on the MoDOT Traveler Information Map, or by calling 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636).
