I-55 Traffic Diverted for Scott City Interchange Construction

SIKESTON - North and southbound Interstate 55 traffic will be diverted as contractor crews set girders for the Scott City Interchange bridge. This bridge is located at Route PP over I-55 in Scott County.

Construction will be underway overnight beginning Wednesday, June 12.

Northbound I-55 traffic will utilize the newly constructed on and off ramps at Route PP from 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 to 7 a.m. Thursday, June 13, weather permitting. Southbound I-55 traffic will utilize Exit 89 in Benton, Missouri, to Route 61 to Route 77 to I-55 from 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 to 5:30 a.m. Thursday, June 13, weather permitting.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
