Missouri Route 19 Closed To Tractor Trailer Traffic

Highway Closed in Hermann

HANNIBAL – Tractor trailers needing to go south on Missouri Route 19 at Interstate 70 will have to use an alternate route as MO 19 is closed to trucks due to flooding in Hermann.  “There is nowhere for tractor trailers to turn around safely on Highway 19 between I-70 and Hermann, except MO 94,” said Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Erik Maninga.  He explained, “They need to stay on the interstate and use a different route,” he added.

The flooding is occurring in front of the Ford dealership on Highway 19 and is caused by backup from the Missouri River.

Other vehicles are able to go into Hermann to access their destinations.
