Slide Repair Project to Begin on Missouri Route 19 in Montgomery County

MACON – Weather permitting, Monday, June 10, work will begin on the Missouri Route 19 slide repair project, located at the southeast corner of the intersection with the Interstate 70 south outer road near New Florence, in Montgomery County.

“The current embankment will be removed, and new rock will be placed to hold the soil securely in place,” said Area Engineer Erik Maninga, P.E.

Traffic may be reduced to one lane while this work is completed, so please be aware of traffic control that is in place. Obey all work zone signs and personnel, and put down your cell phone to help eliminate distractions.

Crews will be installing signs to let motorists know of the upcoming work.

K.J. Unnerstall, of Washington, Missouri, was awarded the contract for the project in the amount of $384,031.
