CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will intermittently reduce northbound and southbound I-35 at Route 152 in Liberty, MO to one lane from 7:30 p.m. until 5:00 a.m., nightly beginning Tuesday, June 11 and continuing through Saturday, June 15 for setting bridge girders. Rolling stops will also be implemented to deliver girders to the work site. Motorists should expect delays and plan for alternate routes. All work is weather dependent.
The is all part of a project to replace the Route 152 Bridge over I-35, make improvements to Kansas Street and Route 291; including adding wider lanes and additional turn lanes. It will also address bicycle and pedestrian needs along the corridor, and a multiple-use path along the south side of Route 152 and Kansas Street. The project is expected to be completed in 2020. This project is in partnership with the Cities of Liberty and Kansas City. All work is weather dependent.
