JACKSON COUNTY – Due to inclement weather and unforeseen asphalt issues, the Missouri Department of Transportation has rescheduled paving work along Raytown Rd. over I-470. The work will now begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12 Wednesday, June 19, until approximately 5 a.m. the following morning. This work will require a lane CLOSURE along north and southbound Raytown Road. There will be a lane open in each direction for motorists traveling on Raytown Rd. However, crews will be CLOSING ALL RAMPS to and from Raytown Rd. and I-470. This work will impact overnight motorists. Motorists must find alternate routes during this time. All work is weather permitting.
For potential impacts to traffic, please review KC Scout cameras at http://www.kcscout.net or consult our real-time traffic partner, WAZE. All work is weather permitting.
Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing.
