Bridge Replacement Set to Begin on Macon County Route PP at Winn Branch

MACON – Weather permitting, Monday, June 24, Macon County Route PP will close at Winn Branch, located 1 mile west of Macon County Route V near Macon, for replacement.

“We are glad to be able to get this project underway,” said Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Brian Untiedt. “Significant deterioration has occurred over the years, and for the safety of motorists, the time to replace it has arrived,” he added.

The bridge will be closed approximately 90 calendar days while the work is completed. The new bridge will 24 feet wide, which is 4 feet wider than the existing one. 

Bleigh Construction, of Palmyra, Missouri, was awarded the project in the amount of $503,626.
