I-44/I-49/Route 249 Ramps (Mile Marker 11) in Joplin CLOSED at Night June 18-21 for Guardrail Work

What: Ramps at the I-44/I-49/Missouri Route 249 interchange (Mile Maker 11) in Joplin CLOSED at times during nighttime hours for guardrail work

When: 7 p.m.-6 a.m., Tuesday-Friday, June 18-21. All ramps open during daytime hours

Traffic Impacts:

  • Ramps closed where crews are working
  • Drivers urged to find alternate routes including the Range Line Road/I-44 interchange (Mile Marker 8), Prigmor Avenue/I-44 interchange (Mile Marker 13) and the I-44/I-49/Missouri Route 59 interchange (Mile Marker 18)
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the ramp closings

Additional Information: The guardrail work is part of a larger project to resurface I-44 between Range Line Road in Joplin and Missouri Route 37 near Sarcoxie (Mile Markers 8-26). The resurfacing portion of the project will take place during nighttime hours and expected to begin the week of July 8.
