PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation is gearing up for two resurfacing projects, set to take place in Platte County. The projects will take place on I-435 and Route D. Both projects should begin the week of June 17 and last from 45 to 100 days. The following is a breakdown of the projects.
Route D:
- Between Ferrelview city limits to KCI Airport
- Expect various lane closures (day and/or night work)
- Work to begin June 19 or 20
I-435:
- Just west of NW Cookingham Dr. (Exit 40) to I-29
- Expect various lane closures (day and/or night work)
- Work to begin June 21
More specific details will be released on each project at a later date. All work is weather dependent.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
