JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be doing paving work along Interstate 70 at U.S. Highway 40, Noland Rd., and Lee’s Summit Rd.. This work involves various ramp and lane closures. Work begins TONGHT, Monday, June 17, and will also happen on Tuesday, June 18 beginning at 7 p.m. each evening until approximately 5 a.m. the following mornings. All work is weather permitting.
- Monday, June 17
- Beginning at 7 p.m., until approximately 5 a.m. the following morning, there will be various ramp closures along westbound I-70. These ramps include:
- The westbound I-70 off ramp to U.S. Highway 40.
- The ramp from Blue Ridge Blvd. to U.S. Highway 40.
- The on ramp from U.S. Highway 40 to westbound I-70.
- Additionally, there will be a right lane closure along westbound I-70 beginning just east of U.S. Highway 40 to just west of Sterling Ave.
- Beginning at 7 p.m., until approximately 5 a.m. the following morning, there will be various ramp closures along westbound I-70. These ramps include:
- Tuesday, June 18
- Beginning at 7 p.m., until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning, there will be various ramp closures along westbound and eastbound I-70. These ramps include:
- The on ramp from Noland Rd to westbound I-70.
- The off ramp from westbound I-70 to Noland Rd.
- The on ramp from Lee’s Summit Rd to westbound I-70.
- The off ramp from westbound I-70 to Lee’s Summit Rd.
- The off ramp from eastbound I-70 to Noland Rd..
- The on ramp from Noland Rd to eastbound I-70.
- The off ramp from eastbound I-70 to Lee’s Summit Rd.
- The on ramp from Lee’s Summit Rd. to eastbound I-70.
- Additionally, there will be a right lane closure along westbound I-70 from just east of Lee’s Summit Rd. to just west of Noland Rd.
- There will also be a right lane closure along eastbound I-70 from just west of Noland Rd. to just east of Lee’s Summit Rd.
- Beginning at 7 p.m., until approximately 6 a.m. the following morning, there will be various ramp closures along westbound and eastbound I-70. These ramps include:
The closures are part of a paving project along I-70 between Blue Ridge Cutoff and Route 291 that began in April and is expected to be complete in July. Motorists MUST find alternate routes during this time.
