Route 759 Ramp to Northbound Interstate 229 NOW CLOSED

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Missouri Department of Transportation crews closed the ramp from Route 759 (Stockyards Expressway) to northbound Interstate 229 this afternoon after finding critical deterioration of a bridge joint. Crews will assess the damage and make repairs in addition to the previously scheduled maintenance that will close the Double-Decker Bridge next Monday, June 24.

During the Double-Decker Bridge maintenance, for the safety of both motorists and workers, the bridge and all ramps will remain closed southbound from Highland Avenue to U.S. Route 36 and northbound from Lake Boulevard to Highland Avenue until Friday, June 28. During the closure, motorists will need to use an alternate route.

As always, please buckle up, eliminate distractions including phones, and be an attentive, safe driver so everyone is able to Arrive Alive. All work is weather permitting and could be rescheduled.
