Various Lane and Ramp Closures Continue at I-435 and I-70 This Week

JACKSON COUNTY –MoDOT Kansas City will continue construction at the I-435 and I-70 interchange this week. This work includes ramp and lane closures along both directions of I-70 and I-435. This work will have impacts to traffic. Motorists are advised to plan ahead, leave early, or consider an alternate route. All work is weather permitting.

Daily Work Wednesday, June 19, through Friday, June 21

  • The left lane of the exit ramp from northbound I-435 to Stadium Drive will be closed for bridge construction daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Wednesday, June 19, through Friday, June 21.

Overnight Work Wednesday, June 17 through Friday, June 21

  • There will be a right lane closure along westbound I-70 from Stadium Drive to I-435 for grading work beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • The exit ramp from northbound I-435 to eastbound I-70 will be closed OVERNIGHT for paving work on Wednesday, June 19 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • The exit ramp from southbound I-435 to eastbound I-70 will be closed for sign truss removal OVERNIGHT on Wednesday, June 19, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. the following morning.
  • Southbound I-435 will be reduced to one lane from U.S. Highway 40 to I-70 for sign truss removal OVERNIGHT on Wednesday, June 19. From 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. the following morning.
