St. Louis Work Zones for June 20-26

ST. LOUIS Rising waters in the Maryland Heights reservoir near Route 141 have caused the full closure of Route 141 near Sport Port. Northbound lanes closed Tuesday, while the southbound lanes closed this morning.

Drivers heading north can get to Creve Coeur Airport, but should consider Route 364 to Route 94 or I-270 to detour around the northbound closure. Drivers heading south will have to exit at Creve Coeur Mill Road. They should consider I-270 or Route 94 to head south.

Once waters have receded and crews have been able to inspect the roadway to ensure it remains safe, Route 141 will reopen.

The flooding closure does have impacts on traffic trying to avoid the closed ramps between southbound I-270 and eastbound and westbound I-70. Traffic remains congested on westbound Route 370 across the river with one lane closed for roadway and bridge updates. Drivers trying to avoid the ramp closure may want to consider using Lindbergh or St. Charles Rock Road to get to westbound I-70, or to use Route 364 to cross into St. Charles County.

This weekend, crews will close the ramp from southbound Route 141 to Clayton Road at 7 p.m. Friday, June 21 to place an overlay as part of preventative maintenance on the bridge. This work was rescheduled from last week. The ramp is expected to reopen before 5 a.m. Monday, June 24.

For more on roadway closures due to construction, additional work zone information and real-time roadway weather conditions (including flood closures) go to http://traveler.modot.org/map. For real-time traffic, visit www.gatewayguide.com. All work is weather permitting and may be shifted due to inclement weather.
