Work on I-435 from State Line Road to 3 Trails Crossing Will CLOSE 1 Lane of EB Traffic

Work Planned along I-435 from State Line Road to the Three Trails Crossing Will CLOSE One Lane of Eastbound Traffic for One Week

 

JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled several lane closures on eastbound and westbound I-435 between State Line Road and the Three Trails Crossing. This will be both daytime and nighttime work and will impact traffic. Closures include:

 Friday, June 21 through Monday, June 24 crews will CLOSE BOTH express lanes on eastbound I-435 and they will remain CLOSED from Friday night at 7:30 p.m. until Monday morning at 5 a.m. During this time ALL traffic wanting to go on 435 NB will have to take the signed detour. This closure is for new pavement construction and pavement marking. 

On Saturday, June 22 Crews will CLOSE the single “express” lane on westbound I-435 from Three Trails Crossing to State Line Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for pavement work. 

Monday, June 24 through Monday, July 1 Crews will CLOSE the left lane of the “express” lanes on eastbound I-435 from State Line Road to the Three Trails Crossing beginning at 5 a.m. June 24 and will REMAIN CLOSED until 5 a.m. July 1 for new pavement construction. This will leave traffic with only three lanes at all times for one full week. Access to the I-435 northbound ramp will remain open.  This closure WILL IMPACT evening rush hour. We recommend you scout your route in advance at www.kcscout.net.

 This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project which will replace the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitate the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, upgrade the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane.
