Lane and Ramp Closures Scheduled for I-470 Overnight on June 21

JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation will be doing paving work along a portion of both eastbound and westbound I-470 overnight on Friday, June 21. The work will be starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 21, until approximately 8 a.m. the following morning. Work will begin in the eastbound lanes while the westbound lanes remain open. Once the work is complete on the eastbound side, crews will move to the westbound side and will open the eastbound lanes and ramps as soon as possible. The paving work includes:

  • Eastbound I-470
    • The right two lanes of eastbound I-470 between Raytown Rd. and the Cedar Creek Bridge (just east of View High Drive) will be
    • Additionally, crews will CLOSE the following ramps:
    • The on and off ramps of Raytown Rd. and eastbound I-470.
    • The on and off ramps of View High Drive and eastbound I-470.
  • Westbound I-470
    • The right two lanes of westbound I-470 between View High Drive and Raytown Rd. will be
    • Additionally, crews will CLOSE the following ramps:
    • The on and off ramps of View High Drive and westbound I-470.
    • The on and off ramps of Raytown Rd. and westbound I-470.

This work will impact overnight motorists. Motorists must find alternate routes during this time. All work is weather permitting.
