MoDOT Holding Online Public Briefing for Route Z Bridge Over Bartlett Creek in Howard County

HOWARD COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation is holding an online public meeting from Tuesday, June 25 until Tuesday, July 9 to share information about an upcoming project that will replace the Bartlett Creek bridge on Route Z in Howard County.

The bridge was built in 1952 and has reached a point where a full replacement is necessary. The new bridge will be six feet wider and will improve safety for travelers.

The project will go out for bid in September and is scheduled for construction in 2020. The bridge will be closed for up to three months while work takes place. Motorists will need to find alternate routes around the bridge.

More information about the project is available at modot.org/modot-central-district. An online comment form is also available on the project website for customers who would like to provide feedback.

If you would like more information about the project, please contact Transportation Project Manager Maria Peters at (573) 751-7690  or at maria.peters@modot.mo.gov.
