JACKSON COUNTY – Missouri Department of Transportation crews will be repairing streets light along 9 Highway and northbound and southbound I-35, near the downtown loop from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, June 27. This will be a MOVING operation, which means crews will move down the shoulder, stopping for approximately five to 10 minutes each and then moving to the next light. All work is weather dependent.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
