Work will cause lane and ramp closures along 169 Highway in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will make the following traffic changes as part of installing new auxiliary lanes along 169 Highway in Clay County.

All work is weather dependent.

 

  • Crews will close one lane of southbound 169 Highway at 68th St. from 2 p.m. Friday, June 28 through 6 a.m. Saturday, June 29 for barrier removal and paving work
  • Crews will close one lane of northbound 169 Highway at Englewood Rd. from 8 p.m. Friday, June 28 through 6 a.m. Saturday, June 29 for barrier relocation and paving work
  • Crews will close one lane of northbound 169 Highway at 68th St. from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. Friday, June 28 for setting barriers and impact barrels
  • Crews will close the southbound ramp from 169 Highway to 68th St. from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. Friday, June 28 for paving work

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
