Road Work for Mid-Missouri

July 1 - 12, 2019

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of July 1 – July 12, 2019. The projects listed will include lane closures that could cause traffic delays. Full roadway closures are also noted. Weather conditions may postpone the work schedule.

All Counties
Daylight Hours
Mowing, striping, brush cutting and guardrail repair continues in various locations.  Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow-moving equipment along the road.


Boone County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 63 between Route 763 and the Randolph County line – Pavement repair in the northbound and southbound lanes continues. The work is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 63 over Bonne Femme Creek, south of Discovery Parkway – Bridge rehabilitation in the northbound lanes begins Monday, July 8. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-August.

Route 124 over Grindstone Creek, west of Route 63 – New bridge construction continues. The road will be completely closed on Monday, July 8 and will remain closed for up to three weeks. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route around the work area.

Route 163 (Providence Road) between Interstate 70 and Route K – Signal upgrades, sidewalk repair and ADA improvements in various locations continue. The project is scheduled for completion in August, 2020.

Route 763 (College Avenue) between Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) and Business Loop 70 – Signal upgrades, sidewalk repair and ADA improvements in various locations continue. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route AC (Grindstone Parkway) over Route 63 – Bridge rehabilitation is underway. The bridge is closed, but entrance and exit ramps at the interchange are open. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-August.

Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 at Route B – Pavement repair in the westbound lanes will take place Monday, July 1 through Friday, July 12.

Interstate 70 at Cedar Creek – Pavement repair in the eastbound lanes will take place Monday, July 1 through Friday, July 12.

Route 763 (College Avenue) between Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) and Rollins Street – Pavement repair continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Daylight Hours
Route 163 between Route H and Route K – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route E between Route 124 and Halton Chapel Road – Pavement repair will take place Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3.

Route N between Route 163 and Easley River Road – Chip sealing operations are complete. Striping operations will continue the week of July 1.

Route Y between Route M and Route J in Callaway County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route WW between Route 63 and the Callaway County line – Chip sealing operations are complete. Striping operations will continue the week of July 1.


Callaway County

Route F between Route 54 and Route J – Chip sealing operations are complete. Striping operations will continue the week of July 1.

Route J between Interstate 70 and Route 54 – Chip sealing operations are complete. Striping operations will continue the week of July 1.

Route O between Route D and State Street – Resurfacing, shoulder additions and ADA improvements continue.  The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route Y between Route J and Route M in Boone County – Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route MM between Route J and County Road 389 – Chip sealing operations are complete. Striping operations will continue the week of July 1.

Route NN between Business Route 54 and County Road 435 – Chip sealing operations are complete. Striping operations will continue the week of July 1.


Camden County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route J over the Little Niangua River north of Deer Meadow Road - New bridge construction continues. The roadway will remain closed until the project is complete in late August.

Overnight Hours
Route 5 between Route 54 and Pier Thirty-One Road – Roadside maintenance will begin Thursday, July 11. The project is scheduled for completion in late August.  

Route 54 between Route KK and East Valley Drive – Pavement improvement continues. The project is scheduled for completion in late-July.


Cole County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 17 over Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation continues. The bridge is closed, but the entrance and exit ramps at the interchange are open. The project is scheduled for completion in July.

Daylight Hours
Route C between Route 54 and Route 52 in Morgan County – Guardrail installation, milling and resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Crawford County
Daylight Hours
Route 8 between Indian Springs Road and Barnicle Chapel Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday July, 1 through Thursday July 11.

Route 19 between Interstate 44 and Main Street – ADA improvements continue. The project is scheduled for completion in December.

Route 19 between Interstate 44 and Route 28 in Gasconade County – Microsurfacing continues the week of July 1. The project is scheduled for completion in December.

Route 19 between Route O and Route P – Pavement marking will take place Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3.

Route 49 between Route 19 and Route 32 in Iron County – Microsurfacing and shoulder widening are underway. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route E between Route 8 to Cave Drive – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, July 1 through Thursday, July 11.

Route F between Matlock Road and Willie Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3.

Route M between Route 8 and Route YY – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, July 1 through Thursday, July 11.

Route U between Route M and Meramec Farms Road – Drainage repair will take place Monday, July 1 through Thursday, July 11.

Interstate 44 South Outer Road between Route H and Grand Street – Pavement repair will take place Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3.


Dent County

Route C between Route H and Route O – Pavement repair will take place Monday, July 1 through Friday, July 12.


Gasconade County

Route 19 over the Bourbeuse River, north of Simpson Road – Bridge maintenance will take place on Monday, July 1.

Route D between Route 89 in Osage County and Route A - Pavement repair will take place Monday, July 1 through Friday, July 12.

Route BB between Route 50 and Kings Highway Road – Pavement repair will take place Wednesday, July 3 through Friday, July 12.

Howard County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 87 between Route 5 and Route 40 – Resurfacing, shoulder addition and culvert pipe replacement in various locations continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route T between Route 5 in Chariton County and Route 129 – Chip sealing operations will take place Monday, July 8 through Thursday, July 11.

Route U between Route 3 and Route H – Chip sealing operations will take place Monday, July 8 through Thursday, July 11.

Route V between Route 3 and Route 5 in Chariton County – Chip sealing operations will take place Monday, July 8 through Thursday, July 11.


Laclede County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 Outer Road over the Gasconade River, west of Route 133 – Bridge replacement continues. The road is currently closed. The project is scheduled for completion in August.

Route 5 between Route 64 and Route BB – Pavement repair continues. The project is scheduled for completion in July.

Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between Route 133 and Route D in Phelps County – Roadway resurfacing and bridge rehabilitations continue. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August.

Daylight Hours
Route 17 between Route 42 in Miller County and Route 32 in Texas County – Microsurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.  


Maries County
Daylight Hours
Route 63 between Route 68 and Interstate 44 in Phelps County – Grading, resurfacing, guardrail and rumble strip installation continues.  The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route T between Route 42 and Route AA in Osage County – Pavement repair will take place Monday, July 1 through Thursday, July 11.


Miller County
Daylight Hours
Route 17 between Route 42 and Route 32 in Texas County – Microsurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route Z between Route Y and Gersert Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, July 1. The work will result in a full closure of the roadway for up to 30 minutes, between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.


Moniteau County
Daylight Hours
Route 87 between Industrial Road and Little Moniteau Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Tuesday, July 2. The work will result in a full closure of the roadway for up to 30 minutes.

Route C between Route 54 in Cole County and Route 52 in Morgan County – Guardrail installation, milling and resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Morgan County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Gravois Heights Road and Church Road – Roadside maintenance will take place Monday July, 1 through Friday July, 12.

Route 135 between Route M and Rattlesnake Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3.

Route C between Route 54 in Cole County and Route 52 – Guardrail installation, milling and resurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Osage County
Overnight Hours
Route 50 between Fourth Street and Twelfth Street – Pavement repairs are underway. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-July.

Daylight Hours
Route 63 at Route 133 – Intersection improvements continue.  The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route D between Route 89 in and Route A in Gasconade County - Pavement repair will take place Monday, July 1 through Friday, July 12.


Phelps County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 63 between Interstate 44 and Route CC – Roadway and sidewalk repair continues. The project is scheduled for completion in October.

Route B over the Bourbeuse River, north of County Road 1400 – New bridge construction continues. The project is scheduled for completion in late June.

Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between Route D and Route 133 in Laclede County – Roadway resurfacing and bridge rehabilitations continue. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August.

Daylight Hours
Route 63 between Interstate 44 and Route 68 in Maries County – Grading, resurfacing, guardrail and rumble strip installation continues.  The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route B between Interstate 44 and the Gasconade County line – Pavement patching will take place on Monday, July 1 through Thursday, July 11.

Route EE between Route E and County Road 1280 – Pavement patching will take place on Monday, July 1 through Thursday, July 11.


Pulaski County
Overnight Hours
Interstate 44 between Route 133 in Laclede County and Route D in Phelps County – Roadway resurfacing and bridge rehabilitations continue. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August.

Daylight Hours
Route 7 over the Gasconade River, south of Rio Road – Bridge painting continues. The project is scheduled for completion in late July.

Route 17 between Route 42 in Miller County and Route 32 in Texas County - Microsurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.


Washington County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 185 over Fourche Renault Creek, south of Fourche Renault Road – Bridge rehabilitation is complete. Grading and cleanup will take place the week of July 1.

Route 21 between the Jefferson County line and Route 32 in Iron County – Roadway resurfacing and sidewalk repair continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 21 between Route 32 and Route O in Iron County – Microsurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route 32 between Route 21 and Route N in St. Francois County – Microsurfacing continues. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Route C between Route 21 and Route Y – Edge rut repair will take place Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3.
