Lane and Ramp Closures Scheduled for Portions of I-470 TONIGHT July 1

JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation will be doing pavement and striping work along portions of Interstate 470 TONIGHT, Monday, July 1, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. This will involve various lane and ramp closures. Not all of the ramps will be closed at the same time. The contractor will move to each ramp, work, and re-open the ramp afterwards. All work is weather permitting and includes:

  • The northbound I-470 on and off ramps at Woods Chapel Rd. will be closed for paving.
  • The northbound I-470 off ramp to Lakewood/Bowlin Rd. will be closed for paving.
  • There will be a right lane closure along northbound I-470 starting at approximately just south of the off ramp to Woods Chapel Rd. until approximately the off ramp at Lakewood/Bowlin Rd.
  • The westbound U.S. Highway 50/Pryor Rd. to eastbound I-470 will be closed at the Colbern Rd. off ramp.
  • The Strother Rd. on ramp to northbound I-470 will be closed.
  • The on ramp from Woods Chapel Rd. to southbound I-470 will be closed.
  • The Strother Rd. on ramp to southbound I-470 will be closed.
  • The Douglas Rd. on ramp to westbound I-470 will be closed.

This work will impact overnight motorists. Motorists must find alternate routes during this time. All work is weather permitting.
