JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation will be doing pavement and striping work along portions of I-470 on Tuesday, July 2, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. There will be various ramp closures in the area. Not all ramps will be closed at once. All work is weather permitting and includes the closures of the following ramps:
- The Strother Rd. on ramp to northbound I-470 will be closed for striping work.
- The Woods Chapel Rd. on ramp to southbound I-470 will be closed for striping work.
- The Lakewood/Bowlin on ramp to northbound I-470 will be closed for paving work.
- The southbound I-470 off ramp to Lakewood/Bowlin Rd. will be closed for paving work.
- The eastbound I-70 ramp to southbound I-470 will be closed for paving work.
- The southbound I-470 off ramp to U.S. Highway 40 will be closed for paving work.
- The U.S. Highway 40 on ramp to southbound I-470 will be closed for paving work.
This work will impact overnight motorists. Motorists must find alternate routes during this time. All work is weather permitting.
