CARROLLTON, Mo. – While U.S. Route 65 remains closed between Carrollton and Waverly due to continued flooding, contractors from Lehman Construction LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, were able to begin a bridge rehabilitation project at the Wakenda Creek Bridge.
Once U.S. Route 65 is reopened travelers can expect to encounter daily lane closures at the bridge. Weather permitting, work on the Wakenda Creek Bridge is expected to be complete in late August.
All work and schedules are weather permitting. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
