Route 63 Bridge at Bonne Femme Creek to Close for Rehabilitation

JEFFERSON CITY – Rehabilitation on the northbound U.S. Route 63 bridge over Bonne Femme Creek will begin next week extending the life of the structure by 20 - 25 years. The bridge is located just south of Columbia in Boone County.

Work is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10 and is expected to be completed in August. Traffic will be reduced to one lane while work takes place. Message boards are up in the area to inform drivers of the lane closure.

All work is weather permitting. The Missouri Department of Transportation appreciates the patience of motorists as work takes place. This work is part of a larger project to improve seven bridges in Boone and Callaway Counties along Route 63. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by summer 2020.
