St. Louis Work Zones for July 4 - 10

ST. LOUIS – Drivers should be aware of continuing construction work on six bridges in St. Louis City. As part of this construction, crews will close Vandeventer under I-44 three nights next week. Vandeventer will be closed Monday, July 8; Tuesday, July 9; and Wednesday, July 10 between 8 p.m. each night and 5 a.m. the following morning. Drivers will be able to get from eastbound I-44 on the north side of Vandeventer, and to and from westbound I-44 on the south side of Vandeventer, but will not be able to cross under the interstate.

Also, drivers who travel Route 141 in Maryland Heights should be aware of some lane closures, which are still in place due to flooding. At the intersection of Sport Port Road/Golfport Drive, one lane of traffic remains northbound and southbound on Route 141.

In addition, drivers who use Route 67 near Alton, IL should be aware that the southbound lanes are still covered with water from the Clark Bridge to the Missouri River. Traffic will remain one lane in each direction on the northbound lanes in that area until the water completely recedes and crews inspect the road.

For more on roadway closures due to construction, additional work zone information and real-time roadway weather conditions (including flood closures) go to http://traveler.modot.org/map. For real-time traffic, visit www.gatewayguide.com. All work is weather permitting and may be shifted due to inclement weather.
