Pavement repairs planned on Route 5 in Lebanon on Thursday

One lane closed at railroad crossing 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri Route 5 (Jefferson Avenue) in Lebanon will narrow on Thursday at the railroad crossing for pavement repairs.  

On Thursday, June 11, 2026, local crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation, in conjunction with the BNSF Railway, plan to narrow northbound Jefferson Avenue to one lane between Pierce Street and Commercial Street. The single-lane closure will be in place between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Southbound traffic will not be impacted.  

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change. 

MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones.
