ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use Vandeventer in the city should be aware of delayed construction on the Vandeventer bridge. Work that was scheduled for earlier in the week was rescheduled for tonight, July 10; Thursday, July 11 and Friday, July 12 between 8 p.m. each night and 5 a.m. the following morning. Drivers will be able to get from westbound I-44 on the north side of Vandeventer, and to and from eastbound I-44 on the south side of Vandeventer, but will not be able to cross under the interstate.
Also, drivers who travel Route 141near I-44 in Valley Park over the weekend should be aware that two lanes will be closed across the railroad and the Meramec River this weekend so crews can place an epoxy overlay on the two bridges. Work on the project runs from 7 p.m. Friday, July 12 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 15. This is the first of three weekends for this work, so drivers can expect similar closures between July 19-21 and July 26-29.
All work is weather permitting.
