TRAFFIC ALERT: Removal of Overhead Flashing Lights at Route 160/Route 19 Intersections in Alton, MO

What: The overhead flashing lights at the two intersections of U.S. Route 160 and Missouri Route 19 in Alton, Missouri will be permanently removed by Missouri Department of Transportation crews.
 
When: Wednesday, June 3, weather permitting
 
Why: A review of these intersections conducted by MoDOT engineers found the overhead flashing lights are no longer needed at these locations. 
 
Traffic Impacts:

  • One-lane traffic with flaggers on the roadway directing traffic during the removal of the overhead flashing lights.
  • The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
