JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The entrance to Ha Ha Tonka Road from U.S. Route 54, in Camdenton, is set to close for several weeks beginning Wednesday, June 3. Construction crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to reconstruct the entrance.
From June 3 to June 24, the entrance to Ha Ha Tonka Road from U.S. Route 54 will be closed around the clock. No detour will be posted, but signs located well ahead of the closure will alert motorists to use an alternate route.
All work is weather-permitting and subject to change.
This work is part of the project to widen U.S. Route 54 in Camdenton. The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a $6,858,291.67 contract to Capital Paving & Construction, LLC, to expand the current three-lane highway to five lanes, providing two lanes of travel in each direction with a shared center turn lane. Included in the project are drainage improvements, new curbs, and entrance approaches.
