Moving operation at various locations in Jackson County for striping work, May 27-June 6

JACKSON COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will conduct moving operations for striping work at various locations in Jackson County. This work will not require a complete closure, but motorists may experience delays. All work is weather permitting. See below for traffic modifications:

Work will take place at the following locations, on various dates, between Wed., May 27 until Sat., June 6, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • EB and WB I-70 between I-435 and I-670
  • EB and WB I-470 between U.S. 50 and I-435 at the Kansas Stateline
  • NB and SB U.S. 71 between 59th Street to Truman Road
  • EB I-70 between I-435 and MO 7
  • WB I-70 between Woods Chapel and I-435

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris form the roadway.
