Erosion Repairs Planned for Missouri Route 13

From Branson West to Kimberling City

Stone County – Drivers can expect lane closings on Missouri Route 13 between Branson West and Kimberling City starting the week of July 29 when crews repair eroded areas along roadway shoulders, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Crews will make repairs to four separate locations where rock and dirt have eroded on embankments away from the road surface.

The work is needed to keep further erosion from occurring that could eventually undermine the roadway.

Traffic Impacts:

Any lane closings needed for the work will occur during lower traffic volume times.

Also, crews could work along shoulders with crews and equipment entering and leaving work areas.

Drivers are urged to use caution wherever crews are set up and working.

Weather and/or construction delays could alter the work schedule.

The work is scheduled to be completed by August 24.

The prime contractor is Flatcreek Excavating of Branson West, doing the work for a low bid amount of $169,000.
