SCHEDULE CHANGED: Ramp Closures Scheduled for I-470 at I-70 and U.S. Highway 40 TONIGHT July 24

JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation has rescheduled its planned paving work along portions of I-470 at I-70 and U.S. Highway 40. The work will now begin on Wednesday, July 24, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. This work was originally scheduled for Tuesday, July 23. All work is weather permitting and includes the following:

  • The ramp from eastbound I-70 to southbound I-470, as well as the auxiliary lane, will be CLOSED for paving operations.
  • The ramp from southbound I-470 to U.S. Highway 40 will be CLOSED for paving operations.
  • The ramp from westbound I-70 to northbound I-470/Route 291 and the auxiliary lane will be CLOSED.
  • The northbound I-470 off ramp to 39th will be CLOSED.

This work will impact overnight motorists. Motorists must find alternate routes during this time.
