LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from May 18 until May 22. All work is weather permitting.
JACKSON COUTNY
Interstate 435 over Blue River Rd. (between Interstate 49 and 103rd St.): lane closures from approximately 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. daily for bridge inspections:
- Tuesday, May 19: right lane closed on I-435 eastbound
- Wednesday, May 20: right lane closed on I-435 westbound
U.S. Route 50 eastbound between Chipman Rd. and 3rd St.: left lane closed on Thursday, May 21, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for litter pick-up and brush removal.
JOHNSON COUNTY
Missouri Route 23: flagging operations for pavement work (approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily)
- Monday, May 18: between Route CC and Route E
- Tuesday, May 19 until Thursday, May 21: between Route E and NE 500 Rd.
PETTIS COUNTY
Missouri Route 127 between U.S. Route 50 and Route AA: flagging operations from Monday, May 18 until Thursday, May 21, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement work.
RAY COUNTY
Route A between Route K and Route AA: full closure from Monday, May 18 until Thursday, May 21, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repairs.
SALINE COUNTY
Missouri Route 41 south between Missouri Route 240 and Cooper Co. line: flagging operations from Monday, May 18 until Thursday, May 21, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement work.
MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
