Polk County – Construction is set to begin on two northbound Missouri Route 13 bridges in Polk County, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
Project Highlights:
- Northbound Missouri Route 13 bridge rehabilitation over the North Dry Sac River
- Between 565th Road and Farm Route 2 south of Brighton
- Construction beginning Tuesday, May 26
- Northbound Missouri Route 13 bridge replacement over Bush Creek
- Between 25th Road and 30th Road in Humansville
- Construction beginning Monday, June 1
Contractor crews will begin installing signs and bringing in equipment starting Thursday, May 21.
Traffic Impacts:
- Northbound Missouri Route 13 bridge rehabilitation over the North Dry Sac River between 565th Road and Farm Road 2 south of Brighton
- Construction beginning Tuesday, May 26
- Single lane closure in the northbound direction
- Northbound Missouri Route 13 bridge replacement over Bush Creek between 25th Road and 30th Road in Humansville
- Construction beginning Monday, June 1
- Northbound traffic shifted to the southbound bridge using crossovers
- Single lane open in both directions with traffic in a head-to-head configuration on the southbound Route 13 bridge
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
- Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours planned.
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closures/traffic impacts
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
