Commission Awards Contracts for Projects in Northeast District

HANNIBAL – During its regular meeting on May 6, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded the following contracts for improvement projects in the Northeast District. 

  • A $4.2 million contract was awarded to Magruder Paving, LLC for a sidewalk (ADA), resurfacing and signal improvement project in Audrain County at the following locations:
    • Missouri Route 15, from 0.4 mile north of Wade Street to Business U.S. 54/Clark Street in Mexico will have sidewalk (ADA) and resurfacing improvements
    • Missouri Route 22, from South Morris Street to Missouri Route 15/Western Street in Mexico will have sidewalk (ADA) and resurfacing improvements
    • Business U.S. 54, from Route J to Missouri Route 15/Clark Street in Mexico will have sidewalk (ADA) and concrete pavement repairs
    • Business U.S. 54, from Boulevard Street to CR 9913, 0.24 mile north of U.S. Route 54 in Mexico will have sidewalk (ADA) and resurfacing improvements
    • Route J, from East Liberty Street to East Promenade Street in Mexico will have sidewalk (ADA) improvements
    • Route AA, from East Athey Street to 0.05 mile north of Doyle Street in Farber will have sidewalk (ADA) improvements
    • Liberty Street, from Johnson Street to Martin Luther King Drive in Mexico will have sidewalk (ADA) improvements
    • Signal Improvements at the following intersections:
      • Missouri Route 15/Western Street and Missouri Route 22/Monroe Street
      • Business U.S. 54/Boulevard Street and Missouri Route 15/Clark Street
      • Route J and Business U.S. 54/Liberty Street
  • A $18.8 million contract was awarded to Magruder Paving, LLC, for a pavement, safety and shoulder improvement project on Missouri Route 47, from Routes A/D in Hawk Point to 0.1 mile west of Routes H/J in Troy in Lincoln County
