Lane expected to open Tuesday morning, May 5

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Construction crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close one lane of eastbound Interstate 70 in Columbia. Beginning at 3 p.m. May 4, the driving (right) lane at St. Charles Road, near mile marker 131, will close for emergency pavement repairs and is set to reopen Tuesday morning, May 5, when the repair is complete.

Drivers traveling in Columbia on eastbound I-70 should consider alternate routes. Motorists are encouraged to give themselves extra time to travel through this area as backups are expected.

Drivers are reminded to slow down and pay attention in work zones. Buckle Up. Phone Down.
