St. Joseph, Mo. – A bridge replacement project on the Caldwell County Route U Bridge over Tom Creek is scheduled to begin Monday, May 4. Decatur Bridge & Iron, LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will replace the bridge, roadway approaches and guardrail.
Traffic Impacts: The bridge will be closed May 4 through mid-September 2026. Motorists will need to use an alternate route.
