Clinton County I-35 to narrow, slow for utility work May 2-4

ST. JOSEPH, Mo – Utility work will impact traffic on Clinton County Interstate 35, from just north of U.S. Route 69 to U.S. Route 36, Saturday, May 2, through Monday morning, May 4. NW Electric Power Cooperative, working through a Missouri Department of Transportation permit, will replace transmission lines across the interstate. Motorists should expect delays.

Traffic Impacts: I-35 will be narrowed in both directions to one lane from U.S. Route 69 to U.S. Route 36. The contractor will be utilizing intermittent rolling closures on Saturday, May 2, while crews cut the old transmission wire down, remove and replace it. During the rolling closures, access from Route BB to southbound I-35 may be temporarily closed.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
