Scrub seal project scheduled to resume April 27 on Missouri Route 148

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – A scrub seal project that includes routes in Atchison, Holt, Nodaway, Andrew, Buchanan, Clinton and DeKalb counties is scheduled to resume on Monday, April 27. Vance Brothers, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, plan to begin the resurfacing on Missouri Route 148 in Nodaway County from Monday, April 27 to Friday, May 1.

Scheduling details for the remaining routes will be made available as they are determined. The remaining routes are:

  • Andrew County Route DD.
  • Andrew/Buchanan counties Route W.
  • Andrew County Route O.
  • Buchanan County Missouri Route 371.
  • Buchanan County Route H.
  • Buchanan County Route E.
  • Nodaway County Route B.

Traffic Impacts: Crews will narrow the roadway to one lane with a pilot car guiding motorists through the work zone. Flaggers will also be present at intersections.

As a part of this project, seven routes received scrub seals in 2025:

  • Atchison County Route V.
  • Atchison County U.S. Route 275.
  • Atchison County Route T.
  • Atchison County Route B.
  • Nodaway/Holt counties Missouri Route 113.
  • Andrew County Route D.
  • Nodaway County Route B.

The contractor has until December 2026 to complete this project.
