LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from April 20 through April 24. All work is weather permitting.
JACKSON COUTNY
Interstate 70 westbound between Sterling Ave. and Pittman Rd.: two right lanes closed on Tuesday, April 21, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for pavement repair.
Route W (Bannister Rd.) eastbound just east of State Line Rd.: right lane closed on Wednesday, April 22, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for drain cleaning and repair.
JOHNSON COUNTY
Route V between NE 251 Rd. and NE 500 Rd.: full closure on Tuesday, April 21 and Wednesday, April 22, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for culvert replacement work.
LAFAYETTE COUNTY
Route F: daily closures at various locations from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repairs.
- Monday, April 20: between Missouri Route 24 and Cottonwood Rd.
- Tuesday, April 21 and Wednesday, April 22: between Missouri Route 20 and Cottonwood Rd.
PETTIS COUNTY
Route MM: full closures from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for culvert replacement work
- Monday, April 20: between Yeaster Rd. and Treasure Rd.
- Tuesday, April 21: between Oak Grove Ln. to Yeaster Rd.
Route N between Route N and Route O: full closure on Wednesday, April 22, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.
Route Z between Scott Rd. and Millers Chapel Rd.: full closure on Thursday, April 23, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.
RAY COUNTY
Route C between 216th St. and Elk Rd.: full closure on Tuesday, April 21, from approximately 7 a.m. until 3 p.m., for culvert replacement work.
SALINE COUNTY
Missouri Route 41 between Missouri Route 240 and Route F: flagging operations from Monday, April 20 until Wednesday, April 22, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement work.
Route ZZ from Missouri Route 127 to end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Thursday, April 23, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement work.
MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
