MoDOT to make interchange improvements at I-70 and Route T/W in Foristell starting April 27

ST. CHARLES COUNTY – Crews with the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project will move to the next construction phase improvements at the I-70 and Route T/W interchange in Foristell starting Monday, April 27. All work is weather permitting.

During this construction phase, the westbound I-70 on ramp will close for 45 days and the eastbound North Service Road will be partially closed on the west side of Route W. Ramp traffic will be detoured over the North Service Road.  Temporary pavement will allow ramp traffic to merge onto westbound I-70.  Westbound North Service Road traffic will be able to use the North Service Road.

However, eastbound service road traffic will be detoured to the Elm Street interchange in Wright City (exit 200). Motorists can then use other routes to their desired destination. Traffic along the North Service Road on the east side of Route W will remain two-way.

This work is part of the reconstruction of Interstate 70 with adding a third lane in each direction.

The Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project covering the eastern portion of I-70 was awarded in November 2024. Construction is tentatively set to take place 2025-2028.

Missouri’s FY2024 budget, approved through the state legislative process and signed into law by the governor, provides $2.8 billion in General Revenue to build a third lane of I-70 across the state. The program will plan, design, construct, reconstruct, rehabilitate, and add a third lane in each direction on nearly 200 miles of I-70, from Blue Springs to Wentzville.
