LEE’S SUMMIT, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from April 13 through April 17. All work is weather permitting.
JACKSON COUTNY
Interstate 35 northbound and southbound between Interstate 670 and SW Trafficway: various lane closures on Monday, April 13, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for litter removal.
Missouri Highway 78 (23rd St.) westbound between Blue Ridge Terr. and S. Arlington Ave.: left lane closed from Monday, April 13 until Wednesday, April 15 for maintenance work.
I-670 eastbound ramp to Central St.: ramp closed on Tuesday, April 14 and Wednesday, April 15, from approximately 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for litter removal.
I-670 and Interstate 70: lane closures on Tuesday, April 14 and Wednesday, April 15, from approximately 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for litter removal:
- Left lane closed on I-670 eastbound and westbound between I-35 and I-70
- Left lane closed on I-70 eastbound and westbound between I-670 and Benton Blvd.
I-70 eastbound and westbound between Interstate 35 and Kansas State line: various lane closures on Thursday, April 16 and Friday, April 17, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for litter removal.
JOHNSON COUNTY
Route V between NE 251 Rd. and NE 500 Rd.: full closure on Tuesday, April 14 and Wednesday, April 15, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for culvert replacement work.
LAFAYETTE COUNTY
Route F: daily closures at various locations from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repairs.
- Monday, April 13: between Missouri Highway 24 and Cottonwood Rd.
- Tuesday, April 14 and Wednesday, April 15: between Missouri Highway 20 and Cottonwood Rd.
PETTIS COUNTY
Route Y: full closures from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily for culvert replacement work
- Monday, April 13: between Purchase Rd. and Van Natta Rd.
- Tuesday, April 14: between Camp Branch Rd. and Prairie Rd.
Route T between Oak Point Rd. and Hill View Rd.: full closure on Wednesday, April 15, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.
Route N between Route J and Route O: full closure on Thursday, April 16, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.
PLATTE COUNTY
Interstate 29 southbound south of Missouri Highway 273 and Missouri Highway 371: left lane closed from Monday, April 13 at approximately 8 a.m. until Friday, April 17, for bridge work.
MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
