Metropolitan Blvd to Close at Route M the weekends of April 11 and April 18

JEFFERSON COUNTY- Drivers who use Metropolitan Blvd between Route M and Route Z or use Route M to access southbound Interstate 55 should be aware of upcoming closures at this location.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will close Metropolitan Blvd at Route M on Saturday, April 11 at 5:00 a.m. through Monday, April 13 at 5:00 a.m. The closure will be for rehabilitation of the Metropolitan Blvd bridge over Glaize Creek.  A second closure is anticipated for the same hours on the weekend of April 18 to complete the bridge rehabilitation. All work is weather permitting.

A signed detour will direct traffic around the closure. Drivers on Route M accessing southbound I-55 or Metropolitan Blvd will be detoured north on I-55 to the Imperial Main interchange (Exit 186), where they will turn left to access southbound I-55. Once on southbound I-55, drivers traveling to Metropolitan Blvd will exit at Route Z (Exit 180) and use Route Z to access Metropolitan Blvd. All detours will be signed.

For additional information about current and upcoming detours and project status, please visit the I-55 Corridor Improvement project website at: Interstate 55 Corridor Upgrades in Jefferson | Missouri Department of Transportation (modot.org).
