For Up to Two Weeks for Bridge Work
Where: Eastgate Avenue Bridge CLOSED over the railroad, between Monroe Street and Lombard Street in Springfield
When: Beginning Monday, April 20, for up to two weeks
What: Utility company to relocate power polls in preparation for future bridge replacement work.
Traffic Impacts:
- Eastgate Avenue Bridge CLOSED over the railroad, between Monroe Street and Lombard Street in Springfield
- Drivers will have access to driveways and entrances on either end of the work zone, but will not be able to travel through the work zone
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
- No signed detours
- Drivers will need to seek an alternate route to avoid the work zone
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closures/traffic impacts
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
