TRAFFIC ALERT: Route 97/Capp Creek Bridge CLOSED in Barry Co. April 6-10

Where: Missouri Route 97 over Capp Creek between County Road 2040 and County Road 2050 southwest of Monett in Barry County

When: 7 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday, April 6-10

Why: Contractor crews will be taking rock and soil samples on Route 97 in advance of a project to replace the bridge over Capp Creek.

Traffic Impacts:

  • All lanes of Route 97 CLOSED 7 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday, April 6-10
  • All lanes of Route 97 will be OPEN during nighttime hours
  • Drivers will have access to all driveways and entrances but will not be able to drive through the work zone
  • No signed detour
  • Drivers urged to find alternate routes, no signed detours are planned
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays could alter the work schedule.
