Dade County – Contractor crews are set to CLOSE U.S. Route160 east of Lockwood between County Road 91 and County Road 105 to replace a culvert beneath the highway, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Traffic Impacts:
- Route 160 CLOSED between County Road 91 and County Road 105 for up to four (4) weeks beginning the week of April 6
- Drivers will have access to driveways and entrances on either side of the culvert, but will not be able to travel through the work zone where crews are working
- Traffic will be directed along these two (2) signed detours:
- S. Route 160, Missouri Route 39, Dade County Route BB and Missouri Route 97
- S. Route 160, Missouri Route 97, Missouri Route 96 and Missouri Route 39
- Drivers should seek alternate routes
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the closure
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
Weather and/or construction delays could alter the work schedule.
This work is part of a larger project to resurface and improve sections of Route 160 and Missouri Route 97 in Barton, Dade and Lawrence counties. For more information, go to the project website here.
